and I find it kinda funny
Thursday's episode of "regular C.S.I." featured a song that remained stuck in my head all weekend. I looked it up on the Internet and found out that it was "Mad World" by Gary Jules. The song is on the "Donnie Darko" soundtrack as well as one of Gary's albums. Tears for Fears also recorded it.
My friend Bean called a little while ago while I was researching the Gary Jules song. By sheer coincidence he had been listening to an MP3 of the song that's on his computer desktop. He didn't even know that the song had been on "C.S.I." last week.
Another "C.S.I." coincidence surprised me last week. On Thursday afternoon I wrote about the Las Vegas hotel room where John Entwistle died. On Thursday night's episode of "C.S.I." Dr. Robbins snapped a photo of the dead body of a celebrity. He said the photo would go on his wall between Tupac and Entwistle.

Drake heard the song on last week's CSI, and we found it on Rhapsody for Friday's show.
I researched it for him so he would have facts.
The song was written by Tears for Fears and recorded by them, but it wasn't a huge US hit.
The "producer" (and re-arranger) of the song was an old friend of Mr. Jules', and asked him to come and record a track when he was rough cutting the soundtrack to Donnie Darko (he had wanted a U2 song, but it was too costly). Gary cut the demo, which was raw, and they realized that was the perfect version. Donnie Darko became a cult hit, and the song hit the top of the UK charts at Christmastime 2003-2004 (if my memory serves).
Haunting version, VERY different from the orignal.
"the dreams in which I'm dying, are the best I've ever had"
Oh my I had to find that song as well after that episode, I did a bit of research on IMDB.com though! But I was glad to finally find it and download!
