moose out front should've told you

There's a road trip in my future. I'm going to the DC area on Saturday and staying for a few days. The timing of the trip is only partially based on the fact that the Mets will be in town to play the Nationals this weekend. I hope to go to the day game on Sunday.

Whenever I travel, I try to take in an improv show. Seeing other troupes helps me develop my own skills. Plus, I can bring back a list of different games to try at an Einstein Simplified show. If I can make good time on I-81, I'll go to a ComedySportz show in Arlington on Saturday night.

During the week, I want to visit Ford's Theatre because I just finished reading "Manhunt -- The 12 Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer." The book has made me want to see the artifacts on display at the scene of the crime.

I've made the same trip several times before. Do you have any suggestions for something different I could see or do while on the way back home? Perhaps you can recommend a place for road food or a world's largest something.

I love Ford's theatre. I hope to watch a performance there someday. I hope you enjoy it, too.

How about the New Holy Land of America. They have catacombs dug below the main chapel Replicas from Rome. OR the Lobster man Statue. It in one of the small parks near Main Ave. I think the camp fie girls commisioned it.

I know you'll have a good time. I would recommend to take a look at some of the Smithsonian meuseums. A DC trip just isn't complete without it. I also think that you should tour the Capitol building. If you want tickets you have to show up at the capitol at some early time. I think they go on sale at around nine. But I did hear that if you call a US representative or senator, they'll reserve you some. Also visit some of the memorials i.e. Lincoln, war memorials, and the White House. I don't know if they give tours at the White House anymore. Well at least without you having to be strip searched. You also need to see Arlington Cemetery.I did got to Ford's theater and the speech the Park Ranger (since it's a national monument) gave a very interesting and informative speech. They also have a meuseum in the basement that holds such items as the coat Lincoln was wearing that night and bloodstained pillows that his head was laid on.

I didn't see any improv shows unfortunately. I did go to a very nice pizza place, but we were lost and just stumbled upon it. Sorry!

Hope all my other in fo helps!
