real deal estate

Today's blog entry would have been posted earlier but I've been busy looking up all your addresses on Zillow.com. The site tells me how much your house is worth now and how much you paid for it when you bought it. A graph shows how your home's value has changed over the last ten years. It's a little depressing to see that my old house in Burbank is now worth twice what I sold it for in 2002 and over three and a half times what I bought it for in 1997.

I'm also enjoying Zillow's bird's eye view of famous homes. That page features houses from shows like "The Brady Bunch" and "The Beverly Hillbillies." Fortunately, I know how to look up the street address of my all-time favorite TV mansion. It turns out that I only need $6,789,819 to buy Stately Wayne Manor.

Holy Crap Frank! Who is that fat-arse that you took a picture of in front of the Brady Bunch house... oh wait, that's 'Fat Frank'.

Dude, you've done FANTASTIC! You need to celebrate by taking a trip out there and getting another picture in the same pose at the same time of day in front of the house.
