bad surprise
Fan's of the now-defunct Bean's Blog will be interested in the update I received from him yesterday. His house and car were damaged in the storms that hit Seattle. His telephone service and electricity are still out. Fortunately he and his wife have someplace else they can stay until the power comes back on.

How unfortunate to hear of all the weather-related damage to the people in that part of the country. [Kevin and] Bean are on vacation right now and only "best of" excerpts are being aired, so listeners in L.A. wouldn't know of Bean's woes. Thanks for keeping us informed.
I miss BEAN!!! I'm so sorry that they had such terrible weather and that they got so much damage. Glad to hear they are ok and are staying somewhere else.
I sent an email to Bean about two weeks ago asking him about the storms that hit Seattle and he sent me those photos as well as some others. My response back to him was that people down here in so cal complain about sprinkles.
Wish me luck as well as we are getting hit with 80mph winds today.
