short-term solution
A baby bird celebrated Earth Day by falling to it at our house. It wasn't exactly an Opie and Andy moment, but my son and I decided to return the little tweeter to its nest. He got his lawn mowing gloves and a step ladder while I grabbed the camera.

Good job! You saved the suicidal emo bird with its shaggy feathers and "the-world-doesn't-understand-me" scowl. Now he'll live on to wear super-tight pants with studded belts, paste The Ramones posters all over his side of the nest and pierce his beak without Mama bird's permission.
