rain delay

This coming Friday marks the seventh anniversary of my move to Tennessee. One of the first things I got from my new boss was a yellow raincoat with the radio station logo on it. Even though 100.3 The River changed ownership and formats years ago, I still wear the coat whenever it rains. It's the only raincoat I have. On the way home from church today I noticed something that has escaped me these past seven years. The buttons of the slicker contain what should have been a premonition about the short-lived format: River's End.

night crawlers

If all goes according to plan, next weekend I'll be having fun with my improv buddies on the set of an independent film. Quarterback-turned-actor Jeff Joslin asked us to be in the movie that he and Darby Totten are producing and directing. It's called "Fish Bait."

Jeff and Darby were excited this past week when their movie made it into Variety's listings of upcoming film projects. I will be excited if I can get my name on IMDB. Then I'll see if I can get them to also list my role as an uncredited extra in the cinematic masterpiece "It's Pat."

UPDATE: There's an opportunity for you to be an extra in "Fish Bait" during a party scene on Saturday. If you're interested and available, send a photo of yourself and your contact information to info@fishbait-themovie.com

personal milestone

Five years ago today I boarded a plane in Burbank. After changing planes in Dallas, I landed in Knoxville, ready to start a new job and a new chapter of my life.

vrroom with a view

Last November the guys at Charter Media asked me to appear in a TV commercial for a local tire store. There must be something in the autumn air. It's that time of year again and the guys asked me to be in another spot. This time they wanted me to wear my pajamas, sit in a bed and make noises. Talk about perfect casting.
